IRT Wiseman: That is a shot of the Beta, which looks better than most other games out on XBox, PS2 and GC today, IMO. Plus a lot of it is bump-mapped.

Graphically, this looks like the best game on the Xbox, and i have no doubt this'll be my favourite game overall on the console. Might as well call it the HaloBox really, i dont play anything else on it...

Without Halo, the Xbox would be losing to the GC in sales right now. Still, even with it, its not enough to top the PS2, although it has the best and most popular online service of all 3 consoles.

Yeah, i hear so too. It was easy for microsoft to incorporate since the Xbox uses a lot of chipsets similar to PC's, enabling easy network play.
Its a shame about the GC, its the best built console and all, it just needs more games. Perhaps Baten Kaitos, ToS, Metroid Prime 2, and the new Zelda will turn the tides for it.
If not, then they can always just quit the main console market and focus on making games like Sega, and keep their successful handheld department running.
Edit: Wow, check out the current all-format USA charts: theres only one GC title on there.
Also, it seems Halo is still going strong over there, even though its an X-box launch title...

They put their money on GBA-GC link games. Sad thing is, people only want innovation after they've gotten bored of something else; online play is still a very new experience as far as console gaming is concerned.
